Beading, Mid-terms, and Life

Sorry that I disappeared for so long! Mid-terms are coming up soon, so my professors somehow think that assinging us a ton and a half of homework will prepare us for the impending exam. I however, disagree. I think that reviewing and studying will best prepare me for these tests. I don't think I'll ever understand a teacher's logic. Anyway, I also started my own beading buisiness!!! :) I'm so excited, and over the weekend, I was able to make some pieces, and I made my little sister's homecoming necklace, and she loved it. Success! :) And, I want to say thank you to all my friends and family that have kept me sane these last couple of weeks, especially my amazing, wonderful boyfriend, Josh. He stayed up late with me, kept me from ripping my hair out, and he has supported me and loved me unconditionally. I love you, Sweetheart.

Punkin' Cake Jewelry

The other day, I got the OK from the state to use the name of Punkin' Cake Jewelry, and I then started my jewelry business! I'm so excited! All of my pieces are made by hand, and recently, I started on my Punkin' Pink! line. All the profits from my Punkin' Pink! line will be donated to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for breast cancer research. Think pink and save the ta-tas!
It felt good to work on my beading!

These are my favorites so far :)

End products!

Bronchitis Continued

Hi again! So, when I said that I'd have a post up yesterday, I really meant today. I worked last night and completely forgot about my blog until a few minutes ago. These past couple of weeks have been insane! First, my sister had a cough, so she did what any sister would do; she shared. Normally, I'd be happy to share anything with my sister. Just not germs. Ever! So, I caught her cough. No big deal, right? WRONG! That little cough turned into big time bronchitis that's still here, even after a barrage of medication, an inhaler, 2 doctor visits, and 3 WEEKS. It's still here. I can't get rid of it! Everyone keeps telling me to drink tea and warm liquids. Well, I appriciate the advice and all, but if I see another cup of tea, I think I'll scream. I'm so sick of tea; never thought that I'd say that, but I am. Hopefully all of you are still in good health, and be careful! Cold and flu season is upon us once more. Please, get the flu shot and wash your hands often.

Bronchitis is no fun!

Sorry for disappearing to those of you that read my blog (all 3 of you). I've been sick the past couple of weeks with bronchitis, and blogging was the last thing on my mind. Come back tomorrow, and I promise that I'll have a better post! :)

Grandpa Turns 80

All of the family and friends!

My Grandpa Gordon turned 80 this past Monday, Sep. 3rd. As you can tell, we had a huge party for him, of course! There were games, food, and great conversation.

16 of 21 grandchildren

12 of 16 Granddaughters made it to the party.

4 of 5 Grandsons made it.

Most of my 19 cousins were there, including 2 of my 3 cousins from Texas. They flew up to surprise Grandma and Grandpa! It was nice to see them again and catch up. In addition to that, 5 of 22 great-grandchildren were there.

Grandma, Grandpa, and all 8 kids

My grandparents had 8 children, and all of them were at the party, too. My aunt even flew in from Virginia to be here. No one wanted to miss this party!

Grandpa, Grandma, the kids, and the kid-in-laws

Happy Birthday, Grandpa! See you at 90!
Time for cake!

School is Starting!!!!!

For those of you that didn't know, I start my first day of classes tomorrow. This is my second year of school. I started college right out of high school, and it wasn't the right college for me, so I took a year off, worked, and now I'm going back, but at a different school. I'm so excited and nervous! Good luck to all of you starting school soon!
So excited to start classes!

Happy Anniversary!

At my cousin's wedding. They had no idea I was taking a picture :)
Today is my parents' 26th wedding anniversary! Their love is an inspiration, and even though they argue, they still go out on dates, still hold hands, still kiss eachother goodbye. I hope to have a marriage like that someday. Happy anniversary, Mom and Daddy! I love you both!
